NO PRESSURE
Hey everyone,
Here I am again. Work has been pretty demanding lately, so I haven't been able to write as often as before. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who's been reading, commenting, and, most importantly, sharing my articles. Your support means the world to me, and I truly hope the Almighty blesses you for it. It’s what keeps me going, so thank you!
Today, I want to talk about something we all experience: PRESSURE. It’s that feeling of stress or anxiety when there’s too much to do, or when you feel the weight of expectations—whether they’re your own or someone else’s.
This time of year can be especially stressful. Maybe you haven’t achieved everything you set out to do, and now it feels like you're racing against the clock. Or perhaps societal expectations for the end of the year are weighing on you. But here’s the thing: the pressure we feel around these dates is often self-imposed. We humans are the ones who assign meaning to days, months, and years. If you think about it, we’re really just living one day at a time, repeated over and over. The cycle of day and night is the same—it’s our tasks that change.
So, don’t let society’s expectations dictate how you should feel about December or any other time of year. Focus on what matters to you, and if there’s something you can’t get done right now, it’s okay to postpone it. Don’t let the world's pressures push you into actions that go against your values or beliefs.
Don't be too hard on yourself if you haven't hit your goals yet. There's still time. Remember, success doesn’t have a strict deadline. As long as you’re alive and trying, you’re on track. I'm not suggesting you become complacent, but there's no need to drive yourself to exhaustion or risk your well-being for a timeline.
If it doesn't happen this year, there's always next year. Every step you take counts, and progress isn’t only about reaching a final destination. Take a moment to reflect on all the wonderful things you have achieved this year. We often minimize our successes while exaggerating our setbacks, but there needs to be a balance.
Today’s post isn’t about "nothing"—it’s about a little "something." Remember to take it easy on yourself, enjoy life as it unfolds, and trust that all will be well. I’m always rooting for you.
Take care,
Your Friend,
K. Nakamoto
