Thank You for Joining Me on This Journey

I’m grateful to everyone following along. I promise you pure insight and entertainment, so buckle up—the ride has officially begun! πŸš€

For years, my slogan has been: “We are African before anything else.” This belief has shaped my worldview since my early 20s. But it saddens me how we, as Africans, often tear ourselves down more than any other race does. Today, I want to focus on religion—a complex topic that needs honest conversation.

Let’s consider this:

Imagine a church holding an open crusade. The pastor preaches and speak in tongue in a foreign language no one understands. You walk by, undisturbed, without fear. Now, picture a group of Muslims observing Ramadan. The cleric reads from the Holy Qur'an in Arabic. Again, you pass without hesitation.

But here’s the twist: what if it’s the Osun Festival? The traditionalists are chanting in Yoruba, invoking the Osun goddess. Suddenly, fear grips you, and you instinctively search for an alternative route.

Why does this happen? The answer lies in colonial repression. Over time, our African beliefs have been suppressed. We’ve inherited European and Arabian systems of faith while growing increasingly fearful of our own heritage. Though the chains of the slave trade have been broken, our minds remain enslaved—afraid to embrace who we truly are.

There’s much more I could say on this subject, but I’ll leave you with this thought:
Before anything else, you are African. Embrace it. Own it.

And remember: this is a blog about nothing. Or perhaps, everything.
